This class will run from 8 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Friday and lunch will be on your own from 12 to 1 pm.
Event Details
The objective for the Certified Medication Aide II offered by New Mexico Health Care Association is to provide a program for BON approved facilities that are seeking the addition of the expanded role of a CMA II. The curriculum meets or exceeds the minimum requirements as outlined by the New Mexico Board of Nursing for CMA II in 16.12.5.19 NMAC. The program will teach the knowledge and skills necessary for competent and safe authorized subcutaneous injection of insulin by prefilled insulin pen. Students will be required to maintain an 80% or higher on all exams to complete the course, and upon completion of the course, the Certified Medication Aide II shall demonstrate a final examination score of 80% or above.
Facility clinical training will include a minimum of 20 successful pre-filled insulin pen injections.
