HOW DO WE JOIN?

To apply for membership, fill out the application and submit the form. At that time, your application will be reviewed by the Board of Directors. After this review, you will be notified of the Board's actions within a few days.

When you submit your application, the Association office will send you a billing statement and will give you the calculation of your dues amount. Dues may be paid quarterly, due on the first day of the quarter, or in full at the beginning of each year.  Paying in full garners a 3.0% discount.


Updated 3-31-2025: Membership is renewed automatically each year. If you wish to cancel your membership, you must notify NMHCA/NMCAL in writing, which can be done by simply writing cancel on your invoice and sending it back. If your cancellation is not received before the beginning of the next quarter, you will be charged for that quarter, and your membership will be canceled at the beginning of the next quarter.  Completing the application indicates you accept all terms and conditions of membership.

OUR DUES ARE CALCULATED USING THE FOLLOWING RATES*:

NMHCA charges a $51.50 annual enrollment fee in addition to per-bed dues.

State

  • $70.20 per licensed NF, SNF, and ICF/IID bed
  • $28.84 per licensed assisted living bed
  • $10.30 per independent living unit
  • A minimum of $300 State Dues is required

National

  • $20.60 per licensed NF and SNF bed
  • $10.50 per licensed assisted living and ICF/IID bed
  • A minimum of $100 National Dues is required
  • A 200-bed maximum payment for National Dues is also in place
