The 40-Hour Course is intended to serve as a basic foundation of knowledge needed for entry-level competency. You will need to have the following to participate in the recorded sessions: Pens/Pencils, Notebook, Activity Calendars, MDS Forms, Charting Forms including Daily 1-to-1s, Daily Documentation, progress notes, and assessment Forms.
NMHCA/NMCAL is currently offering this course as a hybrid model with both recorded modules and in-person sessions. The in-person date listed is subject to change, and at least two weeks' notice will be provided to all attendees if a new date is set. Handout books will be mailed to participants within a few days of registration, and participants will receive an email with additional information and module access. All modules and homework assignments MUST be completed prior to the in-person training.
Click here for a short introductory video for more information.
The class will start at 8:00 am on October 17 and will end around 2:00 pm on October 18. Attendees will be required to complete all recorded modules before class and come prepared to participate in a Q&A with all of the presenters as well as to participate in the activities as outlined in the information that will be sent.
Cancellations must be received in writing no later than 10 days before the in-person class. Failure to notify NMHCA/NMCAL of your inability to complete the requirements will be treated as a no-show.
